Griesser gives old JAX actuators a new lease of life.

Sustainability is not limited to visible solar shading products; it also extends to less apparent components such as control systems. From now on, Griesser, the leading Swiss solar shading specialist, will repair old JAX actuators, which are part of the proven Griesser KNX control system, and reintegrate them into the economic cycle. With this initiative, Griesser takes another step towards climate neutrality by 2050.

Over 50 years of control system expertise
Since 1972, Griesser has continuously developed its control system segment, establishing itself as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers. Control systems are a key part of Griesser’s product DNA and significantly enhance the functionality and longevity of solar shading solutions for smart homes and buildings.

Sustainability through circular economy and innovation
For years, Griesser has championed the circular economy, as demonstrated by its commitment to Green Aluminium – an aluminum produced in Europe with a high recycled content, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. With this new repair project, sustainability efforts are now extending to the control systems sector. KNX solutions, particularly JAX actuators, are among Griesser’s best-selling products.

For Urs Neuhauser, CEO of the Griesser Group, the choice was clear: “We wanted to act where our impact would be greatest. For this reason, we opted for Griesser’s KNX control solutions.” Quality remains an absolute priority. “Thanks to our expertise and extensive experience in the field of automation, we guarantee the highest Swiss quality of actuators during reconditioning,” emphasizes Urs Neuhauser. Regenerated actuators come with a one-year warranty, and all Griesser services also apply to these products.

Sustainability beyond borders
The repair project will initially launch in France, with plans to expand to other Griesser locations in the future. Refurbished JAX actuators are now available on the MyGriesser online platform.
